Take The Cathedrals Express steam train west to Salisbury.  On a historic run, it drew more onlookers to the stations we passed than passengers that boarded the train at Waterloo.  We had a picnic hamper lunch, took a stroll through Salisbury, listened to a resident minister of Salisbury Cathedral recount the near thousand year history of it's engineering (the tallest cathedral spire in England).  On the return, enjoyed a sumptuous picnic hamper dinner and spied some of the beautiful open countryside of Hampshire.
